SOUTH PADDOCKS PORK SCRATCHINGS

We respect and value our animals that we rear to the highest standards we possibly can and the amount of work and dedication involved in rearing them, its only fair we do them justice and use as much of the animal as we can.

After the comments and feedback how wonderful our crackling always is when we do one of our South Paddocks Hog Roasts, Matthew had the brain wave to make our own pork scratching from the rind from our outdoor reared, rare breed Oxford Sandy Black pigs, and boy are they popular!

Hand-cooked and seasoned on farm by us, using minimal ingredients, keeping them crunchy, salty and porky like they traditionally should be in our opinion!

We currently have 4 flavours as standard: Traditional, Maple, Sweet Chilli, Honey & Mustard. Like our sausage rolls we are always experimenting and trialling new flavours so keep an eye out at events and markets for a newbie or if you would like a particular flavour then send us email and we will try our best to give it a go!

IF YOU HAVE TRIED OUR PORK SCRACTHINGS AT AN EVENT AND WANT MORE... WE CAN POST OUT VIA ROYAL MAIL! JUST SEND US A EMAIL WITH YOUR ORDER AND WE WILL SEND  YOU DETAILS FROM THERE!

TRADITIONAL

Lets not ruin a good thing.. Our most popular flavour, tastes as it should, flavoured just with sea salt. Salty, porky and crunchy... delicious!

MAPLE

Matthews favourite, some may say an american twist! The maple flavour cuts the saltiness slightly but doesn't take away the pork and you still have that crunch that that a scratching should without needing a dentist!

SWEET CHILLI

Its sweet, smokey and warm, the chilli is there to be aromatic not blow your head off! Perfect for a nibble with drinks, some customers have used it as keto friendly crumb when crushed! Its our best seller at the Chilli & Cheese Festivals!

HONEY & MUSTARD

Think more wholegrain than English yellow, the honey makes it smooth, and takes the edge off the salt and the mustard warmth. Honey & mustard is always a great accompaniment to pork and we got the inspiration from our honey mustard glaze we use on our South Paddocks Gammon!
